More to know
  • A registry agent files a corporation return. The agent checks your ID and takes a fee. This tool does not file anything.
  • The Alberta Corporate Registry has no PDF for the society return. The official form is online only. This tool makes a sheet to copy from.
  • A corporation or society that does not file may be dissolved. File on time.
  • The 2015 Service Alberta guide says to send the return before the last day of the month after the anniversary month. The tool treats that last day as the due day.

    Questions

Who files an Alberta corporation annual return?

An authorized Corporate Registry service provider files it. You take the return, valid ID and the fee payment to the provider. The provider enters it into the registry system.

Does a society pay a fee?

The society form and its instructions name no fee. Ask Corporate Registry if you are not sure. The phone number is on the page.

When is the society return due?

Send it before the last day of the month after the anniversary month of incorporation. The tool works out the day, also in a leap year.

What goes with a society return?

A list of directors and officers and the audited financial statement. The statement is the one presented at the last annual general meeting before the year end.

Is the corporation PDF the official form?

No. The official REG3062 form only opens in Adobe Acrobat. It says you may create your own form with the same information. The PDF follows its items.

    Is my information uploaded?

No. The PDF is made on your device. A profile you save keeps the name, address and email, and the access number only if you choose that. Read the privacy page.
